Pertemps are currently supporting our expanding engineering / manufacturing client on an exciting opportunity to join them on a permanent basis within their operation based in Leith. The role will be split between yard operations and the office, workingclosely with senior management.The ideal applicant will be looking for their next step from the day to day practicality to a more supervisory role for my clients yard based in Leith docks to lead a small team of operatives working with stock and equipment. They will also have a backgroundworking within the operational side of construction or a similar industry and have a strong interest in supporting growth opportunities for business moving forward.Pay: £35,000 to £37,000 per yearHours: 40 hours per week // Monday to FridayThere is room for substantial growth within this growing company.Responsibilities" Role will be split between yard operations and office work" Yard Health & Safety and training of yard staff" Loading and unloading shipping containers and trucks" Safe delivery of equipment to clients, nationally and internationally" Working alongside logistics manager on quarterly stock takes" Provide assistance and back up to the Logistics Manager" Supervise and lead yard operatives on weekly and monthly prefomanceExperience" Understanding of stock, logistics, shipping" Office experience" Good demonstrable experience with computers and Microsoft word" Drivers License" Forklift license (preferable)" Health & SafetyBenefits" 30 days holiday inc bank holiday" Pension" Ongoing learning and development" Paid training courses" PPEPlease apply today for a call to discuss the position
