Job Description

We are actively recruiting for an office administrator join a legal firm based in Leighton Buzzard, with a view of migrating into a legal secretary role (with training). The working hours are 09:00 - 17:30, Monday to Friday. Please note, this position isfully office based with NO remote working available.Our client is seeking candidates with at least 2-3 years’ worth of office admin, customer service or support based experience. Any candidates without a core background in office administration will unfortunately not be shortlisted.This position is perfect for an experienced candidate who is looking for a new challenge within a new industry/sector.The role will include:

  • Handling inbound telephone calls from clients, solicitors, industry professionals and various third parties.
  • Audio typing, therefore, an excellent typing speed is essential.
  • Responsible for ALL inbound and outbound post.
  • Ensuring all emails are handled with attention, diligence and confidentially.
  • Managing records, projects and calendars to make sure everything functions smoothly.
  • General office admin duties, as assigned by management.
  • Supporting the various internal teams/functions.
  • Working in a busy, face-paced, and diverse office.
Key Skills:
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Fast typist - THIS IS ESSENTIAL.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Willing and able to take on additional duties.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Requirements:
  • Core knowledge of MS Office - Essential.
  • Ability to converse well - Essential.
  • Knowledge of the legal industry - Desirable.
  • Understanding of Law Fusion - Desirable.
  • Understanding of Leap Software - Desirable.
