I am recruiting for a Finance Manager for a client based in the heart of Surrey with beautiful surroundings. This role will be based onsite and you will need to have your own transport due to its remote location. The role will be full time, 8.30 until 16.30 daily with 30 minutes for lunch. Free parking onsite. This is initially a temporary role but you will be considered for the role on a permanent basis if you are interested once you start.An enhanced DBS is preferable but my client can arrange one if necessary.Free parking on siteThe Finance Manager should be -· Reporting to the Bursar you will be working towards becoming a qualified accountant and be competent in the use of accounting system software.· You will be required to construct, interpret and analyse financial and management accounts in order to contribute to effective and timely business decisions.Responsibilities:· Providing effective management of the organisations functions· Producing annual budgets for the consideration and approval· Providing information, forecasts and analysis, including management accounts, to enable effective and timely business decisions.· Management and reporting of cashflow.· Ensuring that a robust control environment is maintained through accounting and financial control systems.· Producing the annual accounts for audit.· Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and professional standards.· Ensuring that the business and its trading company, including VAT and PAYE returns, are compliant with the requirements of HMRC.· Liaising as appropriate with outside bodies including auditors, HMRC etc· Ensuring the organisation remains compliant with the terms and conditions of its financial covenants with its bank.· Supervising the collection of fees and credit control procedures, including communication with parents as appropriate.· Supervising payments· Operation and monitoring of fees discounts and the organisations fees in advance payment schemes.· Responsible for the administration of the payroll.· Ensure statutory returns, pensions, AVCs, benefits in kind, sick pay, and forms P11D, P60 and P45 are filed annually.· Supervising the administration of the collection of donations.· Ensuring that the collection of gift aid is claimed as appropriate.· Providing financial information to aid decisions on the award of grants.· Providing leadership of the Finance Department, ensuring the provision of high quality financial output for the business and professional fulfilment for staff working within the department.· Monitoring the work of staff within the department, ensuring that high standards are maintained in the performance of professional duties and giving them all the necessary support and advice.· Assisting in the development of business policies when requested and implementing them within the department· Reviewing the work of the department annually· Ensuring effective communication within the department and holding regular departmental meetings.If you are interested please drop me an email with your current CV and notice period, the role will pay circa £36,000.
