We are currently recruiting a Senior Assistant Accountant for a market leading specialist manufacturing organisation based in Leigh, this is a permanent role for a well experienced AAT qualified or Qualified by Experience Accountant to join a small yet busyfinance team within an exciting and growing business. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller the Senior Finance Assistant will be responsible for the following key tasks: * Accruals and Prepayments * Aged Creditors and Debtors * Assist with Budget Preparation * Month-end analysis * Audit Preparation * Balance Sheet Reconciliations * Fixed Assets * Intrastat and EC Sales * ONS Submissions * Prepare Journals * Raise Recharge Invoices * VAT Returns * Continually improve processes and worksheets * Customer Credit Limit Review & UpdatesPrevious Skills / Experience * AAT Qualified / QBE * Previous experience in a fast paced finance function* IT Literate : Experienced with spreadsheets, Pivots, Filters, Formatting, Lookups * Experience of Syspro/SAP or Sage/Hyperion useful * Knowledge of Fixed Assets/Depreciation/Asset Lives * Knowledge of AP/AR/Credit Control useful
