The Company:ER Recruitment are very excited to be working with our client based in Leicestershire, who are achieving exceptional year on year growth in their industry and are now looking to grow and build their team with a Warehouse & Logistics Manager to join them.This person will be responsible for all aspects of the warehouse, leading a small team of direct reports and a flexible labour pool to manage the flow of incoming and outgoing goods in a high throughput, fast turnaround facility.Role & Responsibilities of Warehouse & Logistics Manager:
  • Control and management of inventory
  • Management of warehouse operatives & associated administrative personnel.
  • Control of labour and facility budgets.
  • Overall responsibility for all warehouse and associated vehicle movements.
  • Control of 3PLs and management of external carriers.
  • Management of warehouse IT operations and activities
  • Identification and implementation of continuous improvement activities and performance reviews
  • Management to ensure compliance of all aspects of Health & Safety across the site.
About You as the Retention Account Manager:
  • Demonstrable experience in warehousing & logistics with knowledge gained through operations management.
  • Ideally qualified with a professional discipline
  • Experienced leader and motivator of warehouse teams and individuals
  • Effective staff manager, experienced in recruitment, performance reviews, disciplinary, grievance and attendance issues.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Strategic thinker with a key focus on continuous improvement processes
  • Hands-on attitude and approach
