The facility, based in Leicestershire, UK., boasts over 10,000 square feet of state-of-the-art laboratories, and comprises of cGMP manufacturingsuites which allow for the manufacture of drug substances to drug products. The company has a special focus on the design, manufacture and analysis of synthetic peptides and small molecules. All aspects of manufacturing are conducted from the facility.With the increasing focus on peptide therapeutics, our client offers a complete solution to industry, by supplying these biologically active compounds for pre-GMP research studies through to cGMP manufacture. The facility is fully equipped with the latest state-of-the-art equipment to be able to facilitate its ability to successfully offer these services.This is a unique opportunity for a the right candidate to join a pharmaceutical company as sterile manufacturing production manager in a career defining role to grow and develop an aseptic unit as part of ambitious growth project.Job responsibilities include:* Advance knowledge and experience in aseptic technique and clean room operations.* Previous experience of Aseptic manufacture - Lab scale and/or Specials, small batch.* Proficient understanding of all standards and requirements relevant to Clean Room operation and compounding (GMP/ISO)* Ability to work independently and team setting.* Hands -on aseptic process design and manufacture* Ability to supervise and train aseptic personnel as the business grows, providing guidance and support* Maintain facility environmental monitoring program* Must be hands-on* Tracking/trending of data.* Involved with GMP manufacturing activities* Writing SOPs, validation documentation and reports* Ensuring that data is recorded accurately in accordance with the relevant regulatory guidelines* Assist with prioritising the daily and weekly tasks appropriately* Complete the area checklist inspection daily or as necessary.* Maintain and monitor the cleanliness of the area by following the environment monitoring and cleaning schedules.* Assist with the monitoring of inventory items* Liaise with other departments, as needed.* Excellent communication skills.* Superb attention to detail.* Able to effectively prioritize and multi-task.* Willingness to learn in a constantly changing environment.Qualifications and training required:* Knowledge of aseptic manufacturing and sterile manufacturing strategies* A relevant degree qualification in pharmacy or related science or technical field.* Relevant work experience* Excellent written and verbal communication skills* Accurate recording and filing of data* Good organisational skills* Good attention to detail* Good time keeping* Ability to follow written and verbal instructions* Work well within a team* Able to work with minimal supervision* Ability to work to company quality standardsGi Group Pharmaceuticals provides a tailored Account Managed Service and dedicated pharmaceutical recruitment team and partners with many different Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology clients throughout the globe and the United Kingdom.Gi Group Holdings Recruitment Limited group of companies includes Gi Recruitment Limited, Draefern Limited, Gi Group Recruitment Ltd, INTOO (UK) Limited, Marks Sattin (UK) Limited, TACK TMI UK Limited and Grafton Professional Staffing Limited.
