Job Description

Senior TechnicianHighways & Planned WorksStart: ASAPRate: £15 - £20 per hour - Negotiable dependant on experience (via an Umbrella Company Inside IR35)Duration: 36 Months Initially with possible extensions Hybrid working2 says per week on site Location: LeicestershireThe scope of the role consists of ensuring that highway related enquiries are dealt with in an efficient manner, supporting team members with responding to enquires and complaints, carrying out site assessments/inspections/measures for scheme development,carry out pre scheme communications/liaisonRole Responsibilities

  • Dealing with customer enquires/complaints
    • Visit sites to check and approve scaffolding and skip license applications
    • Investigate accident claims from third parties (particularly members of the public)
    • Carry out assessments / inspections of the adopted highways
    • Assist in the design or delivery of highway infrastructure related schemes
    • Assist with the commissioning and management of highway infrastructure related schemes
Role Requirements:
  • Working in an engineering setting, in relation to design, management, maintenance or construction processes
  • Good knowledge of current highway design standards, construction techniques, or maintenance standards.
  • Good knowledge of CDM 2015, primarily duty holders responsibilities
  • Working in an engineering setting, in relation to design, management, maintenance or construction processes.
  • Working as part of a team on civil engineering or highway maintenance projects.
  • Undertaking measurements of work, checking submitted accounts and monitoring budgets
