Job Description

Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for enthusiastic Psychology graduates and students, to work as learning support assistants in our schools in Leicestershire from September 2022. The roles can be both part and full-time on a supply basis dependingon your availability and other commitments and it will involve working with children and young adults with additional needs.The schools we work with cater for pupils in Primary and Secondary ages and they urgently require large number of temporary staff with Psychology background to work as Learning support assistants with their pupils to enable their learning and emotional supportin and outside the classroom. To be considered for these temporary roles the ability to engage and build rapport using Psychology knowledge and academic background is essential. If you currently study psychology or a related degree or have experience workingin Psychology, Mental health, Neuroscience/Counselling and can use your understanding of child psychology, emotional development and various psychological and special educational needs, please contact us immediately as we have a huge demand from our schoolsfor Teaching assistants with these skills.In these Learning support roles, your will be expected to:

  • Support and enable learning with the instructions given by the teacher
  • Support the teachers for class and activity preparation
  • Monitor students learning, social, emotional and behavioural progress against targets and report to the teachers of any positive and negative changes.
