Job Description

Materials Development Specialist required, based in Leicestershire. Requiring a degree in Chemistry or Polymer Science, three years in a development role is essential.Title: Materials Development SpecialistLocation: LeicestershireSalary: £35,000 - £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)SRG are currently working with a successful and innovative global chemical solutions company in Leicestershire who are looking to hire a new Materials Development Specialist to join their technical team. Working with composites, nanoparticles and adhesivesfor use in a range of sectors, they have had a huge amount of success and are looking to continue that throughout the year. This role would be well-suited to someone with someone with 3+ years of industrial laboratory experience in a development role and abrilliant opportunity to join a company whose growth is only going to continue over time.Benefits: Dynamic and growing company offering an opportunity. Working hours of 8.30am and 4:30pm, Monday to Friday. Benefits include workplace pension and an excellent company bonus scheme.Role / Description

  • Predominantly focused on product development and sales growth
  • Delivery of R&D projects, providing technical information to optimise processes.
  • Managing client projects including scope, budget and timeline
  • Identifying new clients to increase company portfolio
Requirements
  • Degree preferred in Chemistry, Polymer Science or similar
  • 3+ years in a product development role.
  • Self-motivated and pro-active, with a willingness to learn
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills
  • Good attention to detail and able to manage own projects
