Job Description

Product Design Team Leader - Leicestershire - GBP 50,000 - 70,000 DOEAn exciting position has recently become live with a leading supplier of digital services.They are searching for a passionate and positive Product Design Team Leader to join their team on a permanent basis.As a Product Design Team Leader, you will lead a team of engineers and work closely with product managers to produce the best product.This role requires you to work from the Leicestershire-based office. This means you must live in and have the right to work in the UK.Responsibilities:

  • Managing the implementation of product specifications
  • Overseeing development processes and project life cycles from beginning to end
  • Reviewing engineering work packages
  • Revising statements of work with accurate cost and time estimates
  • Managing product compliance
  • Researching and introducing new technologies
  • Producing and maintaining technical hand-over packs
  • Working closely with internal and external operations partners
  • Analysing user requirements and metrics
Key Skillset:
  • Degree in a relevant subject matter
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading teams
  • Strong understanding of the product development process and product life cycle
  • Experience with IoT products, mechanical design, microelectronics, embedded firmware
  • Understanding of key engineering design tools e.g., Altium, SolidWorks and a range of programming IDEs
  • IoT products
  • RF based products (desirable)
  • Open and positive outlook
  • Keen interest to explore new technologies and ideas
