Job Description

Network Manager- Highways & TransportStart: ASAPRate: Negotiable Rate (via an Umbrella Company Inside IR35)Duration: 36 Months Initially with possible extensions Hybrid working Location: LeicestershireThe Network Manager role is to provide an operational and strategic lead to the Network Management service, overseeing the functions and outcomes to ensure the service is being delivered to best effect and the efficient and effective operation of the Servicewill deliver the Councils Network Management DutyRole Responsibilities

  • To deputise for the Team Manager as appropriate
    • To support the Councils Traffic Manager in the operational delivery and strategic planning of an efficient and effective network management service
    • To provide input into the Councils Local Transport Plan and Network Management Strategy and ensure the Service delivers their role within the Councils network management strategy
    • Oversee the Assistant Network Manager to ensure Service protocols are established, measured, and are demonstrating both efficient and effective Service outcomes.
    • To ensure the Service is being delivered in accordance to Council policies, Government & legislative requirements, and is fully maximising the powers available under these legislations.
    • Manage the Service Operating Modelensure staff levels, roles and responsibilities and competencies will deliver an effective and effective Service
Role Requirements:
  • NRSWA Streetworks (or equivalent)
  • Significant working experience in an engineering setting, including design, representing the Department at a Senior level
  • The ability to report project progress and financial information as necessary
  • Current legislation, policies and procedures; Highways Act, NRSWA, Traffic Management Act, Traffic Regulation Act, CDM
  • Relevant technical guidance and standards; DMRB, 6Cs, Safety at Street Works and Roadwork
