Job Description

I am actively looking to engage experienced Import & Export candidates, who have a background in air, sea and road freight, for an exciting International Air Freight Co-ordinator position in Castle Donington!Client DetailsYou will be joining a growing team who have been in the UK & International Shipping market for over 85 years. The company have a strong ethos around personal development and a family atmosphere in their Castle Donington office. Due to BREXIT the companyhave experienced unprecedented levels of growth!DescriptionAs an International Air Freight Co-ordinator you will be employed at the Mansfield Head Office and Report into the on-site Shipping Manager. Dependent on your experience you could be managing a small team of 2x Co-ordinator, mixing a commercial & operationalworkload. You will also be responsible for the following areas:

  • Coordination of the import and export logistics and customs clearance process
  • To manage the freight operation from receipt of customer bookings and arranging collections to booking cargo with carriers.
  • To request and gather quotations from suppliers in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Managing customs entries from EU and the rest of the world, implementing procedures for inbound/outbound shipping.
  • Liaising with the companys in-house department/s regarding incoming shipments in order to apply for customs entry in good time.
  • Provide knowledge of customs clearance for specific variations on companys imports from EU and the rest of the world.
ProfileThe successful International Air Freight Co-ordinator will have a large background in either road, sea or air freight operations over the last 3+ years and ideally come from a mixture of an operational / commercial background.
  • 3+ years experience in International Shipping or Freight.
  • Experienced with air, sea or road freight.
  • Commutable to Castle Donington.
  • Experienced with planning, pricing, quoting different methods of shipping.
  • A team player
  • Commercial, as well as operational, acumen.
Job Offer
  • £28,000-£36,000
