Job Description

Fleet Planner - Mountsorrel£11 per hour - 7 month contractOur client; a nationwide construction business is looking for a switched on Fleet Planner for a 7 month contract, with the possibility of extension or permanency.Duties include:

  • Optimising the use of internal and external fleet to achieve and deliver optimal volumes whilst achieving high levels of vehicle and fleet utilisation
  • Closely support the capacity planners, transport planners and weighbridge supervisors to achieve and deliver programs that achieve high levels of customer service and satisfaction
  • Coordinate and assist the weighbridge supervisors and transport planners in the delivery of their transport plans on a daily basis
  • Communicate all planning decisions effectively to cross functional piers and unit management to make sure that "no suprises" occur
  • Achieve optimum balance between cost of supply and service in planning decisions
  • Monitor and control the attendance and utilisation of the fleet
