Job Description

A well known interiors contractor based in Leicestershire are looking to add an Estimator to their team due to an increase in workload and expansion of the business. This role will be integral to the success of the business moving forward and your role willplay a huge part in that.Client DetailsThis client work across a wide range of different sectors including commercial, healthcare, residential, retail and leisure and they specialise in drylining, partitioning, suspending ceilings, fire protection and internal/external finishing. They work acrossthe whole of the UK and they have a number of different business units/businesses that cover different areas of the industry.DescriptionThis role will involve:

  • Reviewing project plans, specifications, and drawings to understand the scope of the requirements
  • Material Take-offs
  • Liaising with suppliers to obtain accurate and competitive quotations
  • Cost Estimation
  • Ensuring projects will run to budget
  • Interpreting drawings and carrying out the end to end estimating tasks.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices related to drylining and construction estimating
  • Working with the different business units to ensure collaboration between different teams.
ProfileTo be successful in this role you will already have experience working as an Estimator within the construction industry and ideally this experience will be working within interiors, drylining, facades, fire protection - however as long as your role has previouslyinvolved the full estimating cycle and you have the ability to read drawings and do take offs then your experience will be of interest.You will ideally have experience working independently and if you already have experience working with and mentoring a more junior level estimator then this would also be of advantage.Job OfferIn return this client can offer a competitive salary and package, the chance for career progression and the opportunity to join a business in their expansion phase and help move the business forward.
