Job Description

I am currently recruiting for an Estates Valuation Surveyor on behalf of my client, a leading public sector organisation based in Leicestershire (LE1).Duties will include:

  • Managing and supporting team colleagues in the Corporate Estate. Including the management of other assigned resources such as budgets with a value of approximately £700k.
  • Inspecting and valuing property across a broad portfolio for letting, acquisition, disposal, property management and review purposes in line with RICS professional standards.
  • Evaluating proposals for transactions or schemes for existing property or new acquisitions to redefine the portfolio.
  • Managing internal customers and tenants, dealing with day to day tenant enquiries relating to liabilities under their legal agreements such as repairs, use, service charges and rent payments.
  • Assessing and negotiating a range of property transactions.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Commercial real estate management would be needed - need to be MRICS qualified.
  • You will be an experienced Chartered Surveyor with a proven track record of property management including dealing with lettings, rent reviews, lease renewals and general estate management; as well as professional work including acquisition, valuation anddisposals.
  • Experience of supporting the development and implementation of a commercial property asset and investment strategy; and, commercial management in a multi-site environment.
  • Significant understanding and knowledge of commercial estates management, providing professional advisory services around strategic property management across a varied commercial property portfolio.
  • Substantial knowledge of acquisitions and disposal including sale, CAT (Community Asset Transfer) transfer, auction and asset reprioritisation. Good knowledge and understanding of Landlord and Tenant and other relevant legislation and guidance.
