Job Description

Macildowie Recruitment and Retention have partnered with one of the UKs leading tier 1 manufacturers, supplying to the rail and industrial products industry. Following years of sustained growth, our client are now looking to add to their growingteam in Leicester.The Role

  • Reporting directly to the Head of Procurement.
  • Remit: 50% Tactical - 50% Strategic.
  • Responsible for managing a spend of c. £6m.
  • Looking after all indirect procurement spend: Cap-Ex, Fleet, MRO, PPE.
  • Working closely alongside the production and product development team.
  • Assisting with end-to-end bid/tender management processes.
  • Taking a lead on developing lasting relationships with suppliers.
  • Undertaking administrative tasks such as raising purchase orders and chasing invoices.
  • Continuously looking for new ways to source new support.
  • Compile data which pertains to supplier performance.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor strategies.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Has 2+ years experience within Buying/Supply Chain/Similar.
  • Proactive, dynamic personality.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Willing, can-do attitude.
Details
  • Salary: 28k - 30k per annum.
  • Office hours.
