Job Description

A number of positions have arisen forAnalysts to join an Analytical Research & Development team at an international company, based in Loughborough. These are initially 12-month temporary roles with genuine opportunities for career progression. The department mainly conducts testing on Metered Dose Inhalers, primarily using HPLC based methodology and provides support to all functions within the R&D division of the company.As the AR&D Analyst your duties will include:- The testing of drug products from early feasibility studies through to supporting activities associated with registration stability and full development.- Generating, recording, and reporting analytical data in line with departmental procedures.- Investigating atypical results using basic problem-solving techniques.The successful AR&D Analyst will have the following skills and experience:- Experience of pharmaceutical product testing in a GMP environment with a good understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice.- Knowledge of using analytical instrumentation, ideally HPLC / UPLC, GC, IR and UV.- Knowledge of Analytical Chemistry and its practical application in a non-academic setting.- HPLC analysis experience would be preferred.- Development and optimisation of HPLC / UPLC methodology, preferred not essential.- Experience of the theory and practice of validating HPLC / UPLC methodology is preferred but not essential.- Experience of testing inhalation products is preferred but not essential.- Computer literate, familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel.In return, the AR&D Analyst will receive a pay rate of £13.00 per hour. The company also provides free parking. Your working hours will be 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday with some flexitime. Optional overtime will be available in line with business needs.
