Job Description

The Role : Workshop Engineer(Heavy plant) Location: Leicester (Site Based)Salary: CompetitiveWorking hours: Monday to Friday 8am4.30 pm We are looking for an experienced heavy plant workshop engineer/mechanic to join our team here at our Leicester Depo. You will become part of a large team and your main responsibility will be to ensure equipment is fit for purpose before being delivered toour sites.Your day to day responsibilities as a Workshop engineer(Heavy plant) are below:

  • Checking & greasing new machines, ensuring smooth running.
  • Fixing small faults & attachments like breakers, ensuring they are attached right and working.
  • Checking oil & Tyres.
  • Fixing the radio.
  • Polishing machine ready for the customer
  • General Yardman duties like unloading lorries, checking in deliveries, keeping the workshop clean and tidy.
  • From time to time you may be required to travel to site to assist the field service engineer if required.
