THE OPPORTUNITY:Macildowie are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Administrator working for a business based in Leicester. My client is looking for a driven and enthusiastic Warehouse Administrator who wishes to specialisein Export or operations to learn, train with their Warehouse and Operations Manager and to eventually take responsibility for this essential role.This is a full time permanent position THE ROLE & YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:Carrier co-ordination/management and issue resolution.Customs clearance issue resolution.Co-ordination of outbound containers including all documentation.Incoming sea freight co-ordination.Validation of commodity codes.Hazardous products co-ordination & managementCo-ordination of incoming pallet deliveries into the warehouse operation.Initially assist with a view to taking responsibility for various operations & facilities management role EXPERIENCE SOUGHT IN THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE: Minimum 3 years work experience within a Warehouse/Logisitics environment, preferably with some exposure to Export/Shipping goodsStrong IT skills, preferable Microsoft Office & ExcelDesire and ability to study for an NVQ and other relevant qualificationsAbility to prioritise & organise own work in a busy environment.Accuracy and high attention to detail.Ability to apply initiative to solve problems.Self-motivated, positive and proactive attitude.Flexible and adaptable decision making.Good written and verbal communication skills.Able to work as part of a team or independently.Good organisational/planning skills.Excellent numeracy skills.Macildowie is a specialist recruitment consultancy with a rich history of enhancing the careers of professionals across the Midlands and the Northern Home Counties.
