UK Logistics DirectorFlexible across the UK£90,000 - £110,000 + BenefitsRole Profile:Are you an experienced and dynamic leader with a proven track record in driving the growth of logistics businesses My client who is a rapidly expanding logistics provider, is seeking a talented individual to join our team as the UK Logistics Director. Thisis a fantastic opportunity for a strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen to play a pivotal role in shaping the future success of our organization. The successful candidate will be required to travel across the network.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership: Lead the development and execution of the logistics strategy to drive business growth, increase efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction.Business Growth: Drive the expansion of our logistics operations, identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and optimizing existing processes.Operational Excellence: Oversee and enhance the efficiency of logistics operations, ensuring seamless and cost-effective supply chain management.Team Management: Build and lead a high-performing logistics team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.Financial Management: Develop and manage budgets, ensuring financial objectives are met, and identifying areas for cost optimization.Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal teams, to ensure alignment with business goals.Risk Management: Implement effective risk management strategies to mitigate potential challenges and ensure the resilience of the logistics operations.Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Logistics Director or in a senior leadership role within the logistics industry.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a successful track record of growing businesses and expanding market share.
  • In-depth knowledge of logistics operations, supply chain management, and industry trends.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Financial acumen and experience in budget management.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
