Job Description

Robert Half is delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for a UK Tax Manager at a prominent company based in Leicester. This full-time position offers a hybrid working model, allowing for two days a week in the office. The remuneration for this roleis up to £80,000, complemented by a generous bonus package, showcasing commitment to recognising and rewarding top talent.As a UK Tax Manager, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the tax strategy of the organisation. The primary objectives include providing strategic leadership to navigate the dynamic tax landscape, driving key UK tax initiatives, managingintricate tax matters, and cultivating robust relationships with stakeholders. The role also involves ensuring compliance with UK tax regulations and implementing efficient tax strategies within the UK group and reporting cluster.Job Specification:Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership: Provide visionary leadership in developing and executing tax strategies aligned with the organisations goals and the evolving tax landscape.
  2. Initiative Management: Drive and oversee key UK tax initiatives, ensuring their successful implementation and alignment with business objectives.
  3. Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including tax authorities, to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
  4. Compliance Assurance: Ensure compliance with UK tax regulations, staying abreast of changes and proactively implementing necessary adjustments to mitigate risks.
  5. Tax Matter Management: Take charge of complex tax matters, providing expert guidance to resolve issues and optimise the organisations tax position.
  6. Efficient Tax Strategies: Implement and optimise tax-efficient strategies within the UK group and reporting cluster to enhance financial performance.
Qualifications and Skills:
  1. Professional Qualification: Hold a recognised professional qualification in taxation or accounting (e.g., CTA, ACA).
  2. Extensive Experience: Demonstrate a proven track record of several years in a senior tax role, showcasing comprehensive knowledge of UK tax regulations and practices.
  3. Leadership Abilities: Exhibit strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team toward achieving strategic objectives.
  4. Analytical Aptitude: Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex tax issues and develop effective solutions.
  5. Communication Skills: Display exceptional communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels and convey complex tax concepts in a clear and concise manner.
