Job Description

REED has an excellent opportunity for Care Assistants/Support Workers in Leicester.Pay Rate: £11.17 - £13.93 per hourStart Date: ASAPLocation: Leicester and surrounding areas.The Support Workers Day to day activities will include:

  • Supporting adults with learning and associated difficulties eg.physical, sensory etc. within base and in the community.
  • Support individuals to be independent as far as they are able using a person centred approach.
  • To follow the care plans of the individual.
  • Support with domestic tasks. - Cleaning of the individuals flats, ironing, preparing snacks, cooking evening meals. Supporting tenants with shopping and paying bills.
  • Preparation for the following day with tasks like packed lunches/ironed clothes.
  • Complete all records for the tenant. This will be daily contact notes, accident/incident forms/ABC/
  • Follow the advice of the CSTL and support workers.
  • Not to use mobile phones.
  • Moving and handling and using the right techniques.
  • Having a good understanding of adults with Learning difficulties and mental health.
  • Soft and kind nature.
  • Clear and legible handwriting.
Essential requirements:
  • A minimum of 6 months experience working as a support worker.
  • A full UK Driving Licence and your own vehicle.
