Job Description

RoleStores ManagerLocation- West WalesRate- £22 per hour PAYE, Inside IR35Duration- 12 month contract, very likely to be extended for the right candidateOur unique Aerospace client based in Leicester are seeking a Stores Manager to work full time on site.The main purpose of this role is ensuring all aspects of storage, materials handling, goods receipt, issue, replenishment, repair, packing and despatch are controlled and administered within compliance regulations and business demands in a Flight Line environmentaway from main base location.On site Coordination of all resource (Personnel, materials, tooling, equipment maintaining full compliance with MRP Part 145) to achieve upgrade of all aircraft in Unit 2 in line with programme requirements. Your main duties and responsibilities as a Stores Manager will be as followed: Ensuring the efficient execution of all stores, goods inwards, despatch, shipping and materials handling activities including trainingfor all involved. Compliance with all Health & Safety, Environmental, Import / Export, Radioactive, COSHH & other appropriate regulations and policies. Adopt, create, implement and maintain suitable proceduresto demonstrate control. Interface with internal / external auditors. Maintain appropriate records to satisfy compliance regulations. Maintain traceability control of materialControl of MOD loaned assets received into the company Regular reporting on status of satisfied and outstanding demands Maintain levels of consumable materials and services to usersYourdaily tasks will be as followed:

  • Receive, process and control deliveries into the company
  • Check material for damage, documentation, quantity etc and control non-compliances
  • Ensure traceability for all stock parts received
  • Manage and control COSHH materials
  • Practice stock control and segregation for Quarantine, Protectively Marked,Duty, ITAR, GFE, etc materials.
Perform mechanical handling activities e.g. pump truck, forklift as required (desirable)
  • Order pick and issue of materials to support business requirements
  • Maintain stock accuracy
  • Pack items in accordance with industry standards and contractualrequirements
  • Arrange appropriate transport for delivery
  • Ensure appropriate documentation for delivery with considerations to includeexport control and security
    • Control and generate demands and requirements for Manufacturing and procurement
  • Coordinate the repair of faulty material
Knowledge and skills required for the role:
  • Experience of commercial / military / MOD stores operation
  • Experience of development and implementation of policies, procedures and controls
  • Established administration, organisation and communication skills.
  • Awareness of manufacturing planning tools and principals
  • Awareness of internal controls for appropriate stock segregation and specific material handling requirements
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi cultural / multi national team environment.
    • Ability to work in a customer focussed environment to agreed objectives and targets
    • Current fork lift licence
    • Self-motivated and ability to work alone or as part of a small team.
    • Excellent attention to detail.
    • Good communication skills.
    • Extensive knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, Publisher); Visio package.
    • Good team player with the ability to develop strong working relationships at all levels.
    • Excellent communication (both written and verbal), time management and organisational skills
    • Flexible approach to duties and responsibilities
