Job Description

Our product range speaks for itself but we never forget that good service begins and ends with people.We are looking for a Stock and Samples Co-ordinator to proactively support the business through the provision of stock and samples within agreed timescales.The role involves some aspects that may be physically demanding, such as:

  • Cutting of tiles and moving sample binders.
  • Some driving of van to showrooms
  • Lifting tiles / boxes of tiles / displays
  • Key Accountabilities
  • Sample Stock Management – Ensure samples are in stock to agreed levels throughout product lifecycle.
  • Product / Sample Requests – Working within agreed timescales, ensure all product / sample requests are picked, packed and dispatched, meeting quality and accuracy levels.
  • Tile Cutting – To create sample boards and replenish sample stock.
  • Competitor Research – Assist with research as required and provide new range recommendations.
  • Product Champion – Become a go to person for product
  • Support - Proactively support the Sales Teams (Managers, Support and Showrooms alike).
  • Product Knowledge - Continually improve your product knowledge through self-learning using inhouse tools i.e. website, catalogue, the Hub.
  • Supplier Relationship – Build relationships with suppliers to ensure sample stock is received as desired and reporting when not done so. Highlighting and resolving any supply issues with your team.
  • Library – Assist with the maintenance and development of the digital and physical library, including supplier brochures and binders.
  • KPI’s – Assist with compiling and working to agreed KPI’s. Understanding these are a tool to monitor Samples team performance with a view to continuous improvement and planning purposes.
  • Key Requirements:
  • Systems - A good understanding of Microsoft Office products, primarily Word and Excel.
  • Communication - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a desire for continual personal and professional development.
  • Pace - Experience of working in a fast-paced environment, where exceeding the client’s expectations is crucial to its success.
  • Customer Service - Be passionate about achieving results and delivering a high standard of customer service.
  • Attitude – Can do / will do.
  • Focused - Be able to work well under pressure and remain focussed, positive and professional in an environment where priorities change quickly.
  • Problem Solving – Proven collaborative working skills.
  • Organised & Structured – Work in an organised manner with clear daily structure. Maintaining a clean and clear working environment both in the office and within the warehouse.
  • Drivers Licence – Some travel with use of company van may be required.
  • Physically Fit – Able to lift and move boxes of tiles (upto 20kg), use of equipment.
