We are currently recruiting on behalf of a local authority based in Leicestershire for a Senior Valuer on a permanent basis.The valuer will be part of a multi-disciplinary team providing valuation and estate management service for the Council and external clients. It is vital to the future of the Department that the potholder are flexible in taking on additional tasks, willing tooffer help to staff in other groups and treat co-operation and support for colleagues as a top priority.Duties includeAssisting in the service of notices, negotiating leases, lease renewals and rent reviews.With direction, arranging for, or undertaking, property inspections, records of condition and dilapidation schedules.Monitor expenditure and prepare accounts for service charges, including reading meters, apportioning charges etc, the issuing of instructions and orders for work and services and arranging authorisation payment of accounts as directedExperience Degree or equivalent in land management or similarFull membership of royal institution of chartered surveyors Significant post qualification experience in valuing a variety of properties and for various needs, Experience in the disposal of a wide range of land and property both leasehold and freehold Significant knowledge and experience in dealing with the appointment and monitoring of external agents Working knowledge of construction mattersSalary £41,202k but could be negotiable plus excellent public sector benefits and hybrid flexible working
