Senior Project Design Engineer(Water and Wastewater Sector)East Midlands - commutable from Coventry, Leicester, Warwickshire and surrounding areac£50k+ neg dep exp + benefitsOur client has been established for almost a decade and specialise in the provision of wastewater solutions from design through to delivery with both municipal and industrial clients across the UK as well as internationally, and as a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, are now seeking to recruit an articulate, enthusiastic and experienced Senior Project Design Engineer to complement their highly professional team.Based in prestigious offices near Leicester in the East Midlands, the successful candidate will be tasked with the Project Management of all design elements of projects including the design and integration of associated plant and equipment and for the procurement of required specialist plant and equipment as appropriate.With responsibility for the Financial management of the project budget and accountability for the project deliverables, as Senior Project Design Engineer you will manage all aspects of the design sub-contractors and design deliverables, attending all project design meetings as required, and prepare design drawings for fabrication and installation from the approved sub-contractors resource.You will ensure client sign-off is achieved and all associated necessary design deliverables and documentation are prepared and will both develop and maintain the project programme using EXCEL or MS Project, preparing internal weekly/monthly project progress reports for Directors and clients as required.In addition to building strong relationships with both customers and suppliers, you will work closely with the team of subcontract design engineers and be heavily involved in the design submission for all business, as well as providing technical and design support in tender preparation activities, and you will maintain up to date Management Cards and Health and Safety certificates as well as the companies in house QMS, HAZOP and Access Lifting and Maintenance systems.To be considered for this varied and challenging Senior Project Design Engineer role it is envisaged that you will be a lead design engineer with at least 5 years experience gained in a similar role within the wastewater treatment industry and realistically qualified to Degree level or above in a relevant design engineering discipline.You will demonstrate comprehensive experience in the use of AutoCad, Solidworks, Navisworks or DWG Trueview with proven Design Project Management experience along with relevant H&S qualifications.Whilst the role is office based, there may be occasions where site visits and therefore overnight stays will be required, so you will be flexible to travel as required and hold a full UK driving licence.Contact the Design Team at Premier Technical Recruitment on or email your cv in confidence to for further details.
