Job Description

SF Recruitment are recruiting for a production operative for an establishing manufacturing company in EnderbyAbout the role:A Production Operative will be responsible for preparing materials for either painting or welding. This will include operating machinery and using numerous power and hand tools.Duties will include:

  • Maintaining the highest possible standard of work.
  • Swaging parts to required measurements (training given). Use of Chop Saws, Grinders, and Drills to create parts specified, with some fettling / cleaning
  • Using machines and saws to cut raw materials ready for welding. Experience ideal.
  • Driving the forklift, ideal however training can be given.
  • Packing away of raw materials that have been delivered.
  • Picking of stock components.
  • Collating jobs after the welding stage ensuring the full job is complete ready for PPC.
    • About you:
  • This person must work well as part of a team as well as on their own.
  • Must be able to read a tape measure.
  • Fettling experience is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and mathematics skills required..
  • He/she must be hard working, tidy and have a keen eye for detail.
  • Good time keeping skills are imperative.
  • Must be used to working within a fast-paced environment.
