Job Description

Recruiting Paramedics, Technicians and Emergency Care Assistants:Due to an expansion in work within the Leicester area, Amvale Medical Transport Limited are inviting applications from those suitably qualified and experienced who may wish to broaden their horizons and experience new ventures in their careers.We are looking for Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered Paramedics, qualified Ambulance Technicians, and Emergency Care Assistants with a clean work record and suitable experience to work in these areas.Paramedics are required to have a minimum of 2 years experience (post NQP period), and previous NHS Ambulance Service experience is desirable. Level 3 Certificate in Emergency Response Ambulance Driving (L3CERAD) or the previous IHCD BTEC level 3 in EmergencyAmbulance Driving with evidence of recent driving assessments. A C1 licence is desirable for the role, but not mandatory. A clean work record is essential for the role. Up to date continual professional development (CPD) is a pre-requisite for the post, andcandidates invited to interview are expected to produce evidence of this, along with original professional qualifications.We also require fully qualified Ambulance Technicians to the Institute of Health Care Development (IHCD), the Level 4 Diploma for Associate Ambulance Practitioners or QA Level 5 Diploma in First Response Emergency and Urgent Care (RQF) complete with Level3 Certificate in Emergency Response Ambulance Driving (L3CERAD), or the previous IHCD BTEC level 3 in Emergency Ambulance Driving, with evidence of recent driving assessments.Please note we require a minimum of 2 years experience post qualification period/signed off hours. A C1 licence is desirable for the role, but not mandatory. Once again applications are invited from staff with a clean work record, and previous NHS Ambulanceexperience is desirable. Evidence of CPD is also required from applicants, along with original professional qualifications.Finally, we are inviting applications from suitably experienced and qualified Emergency Care Assistants (ECAs). You must have as a minimum, QA Level 4 Certificate in First Response in Emergency Care (RQF) or FutureQual Level 3 Diploma in Ambulance Emergencyand Urgent Care Support (RQF). A minimum of 2 years experience is required, and previous NHS Ambulance experience is preferable. You also need Level 3 Certificate in Emergency Response Ambulance Driving (L3CERAD) or the previous IHCD BTEC level 3 in EmergencyAmbulance DrIving with evidence of recent driving assessments.A C1 licence is desirable for the role, but not mandatory. A clean work record is essential. Evidence of CPD is also required from applicants, along with original professional qualifications.All posts are offered on a variable hour contract and are PAYE positions with the company who are IR35 compliant. This includes various benefits such as a workplace pension scheme, paid holidays, paid for Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) application,a comprehensive suite of online CPD. Also, for those who travel away from home the company provide fully paid bed and breakfast at a local hotel (with a daily living allowance). This is a complete and comprehensive package for the right candidates.With all the roles advertised above daily work includes managing ambulance admissions into the ED, taking handovers from crews, performing tasks such as phlebotomy, cannulation, 12-lead ECG, the usual patient observations, patient assessments, inter-hospitaltransfers for example.Current rates of pay are:

  • Paramedics: £27.00 per hour (£30.00 Weekends)
  • Technicians: £17.00 per hour (£19.00 Weekends)
  • ECAs: £15.00 per hour (£16.60 Weekends)
