Job Description

Position: ODPLocation: LeicesterPay: Minimum of £350 per dayContract type: Pick up any days Mon-Friday OR Just Saturday ShiftsClient type: NHSAre you an experienced ODP Do you have experience in anaesthetics & recovery Medacs Healthcare is looking for a Theatre Practitioner to work in an NHS Trust on an ongoing basis on Saturdays. If youre an experienced ODP who is keen to make a difference,then wed love to hear from you.Requirements

  • Current NMC Pin No
  • Hep B, MMR, Varicella and TB scar proof
  • Minimum 6 months recent relevant UK experience
Responsibilities
  • Help and support patients before surgery
  • Prepare a wide range of specialist equipment and drugs, including anaesthetic machines, intravenous equipment and devices that safely secure the patients airway during anaesthesia
  • Support and monitor the patient on their arrival into the recovery unit
  • Provide appropriate treatment until they have recovered from the effects of the anaesthesia and/or surgery
  • Assess the patient so they can be discharged back to a ward
