National Transport Manager£55,000 + Car Allowance & BenefitsFlexible on locationRole ProfileAre you a seasoned professional in the field of transportation management, ready to take on a leadership role at a national level We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced National Transport Manager to join our dynamic team and drive excellencein our transportation operations.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize national transportation operations.
  • Provide leadership and direction to regional transport managers, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Operational Excellence:
  • Oversee and enhance end-to-end transportation processes, from planning to delivery.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
Cost Management:
  • Implement cost-effective measures to ensure efficient transportation operations.
  • Negotiate contracts with carriers and suppliers to optimize service and cost.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
  • Stay abreast of transportation regulations and ensure compliance at the national level.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to mitigate risks and ensure adherence to industry standards.
Team Development:
  • Build and lead a high-performing national transportation team.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to enhance team capabilities.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in transportation management, preferably at a national level.
  • Strong understanding of transportation regulations and compliance.
  • A background within Tanker distribution would be ideal
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and related technologies.
