Job Description

Mortgage Administrator Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 plus excellent benefits!Location: Leicester Our client is a reputable and ambitious firm of Financial Planners who now have an excellent opportunity for a Mortgage Administrator to join their ever-growing organisation. Our client is a family-oriented business who operate an open culture.Purpose of the role:To provide sales and administration support for 2 mortgage and protection advisers to ensure the smooth process of applications, informing both the client and the adviser at every step of the process.Key Skills and Responsibilities:

  • Providing full administration/paraplanning support for two whole of market Mortgage advisers including preparing documents and submitting business.
  • Calling Mortgage/protection leads, arranging client call-backs and booking new and existing client meetings, on a regular daily basis.
  • Liaising with advisers, lenders and conveyancers/solicitors as required to ensure clients are dealt with in the most appropriate and efficient manner.
  • Manage converted cases alongside the advisers to ensure all paperwork and relevant documents are collated, completed, and attached/uploaded to the correct files, in line with our compliance procedures and data protection laws.
  • Regular engagement with clients via telephone, email, and letter.
  • Being able to manage own workflows and tasks. Working on own initiative and achieving agreed outcomes and meeting service level adherences without supervision.
  • Being proficient in understanding and identifying possible client outcomes/solutions, derived from detailed information compiled by the advisers.
  • Familiar with using mortgage and protection research/sourcing software (e.g., Iress Tri-Gold and Exchange), able to prepare information and offer up draft recommendations to the relevant adviser.
  • Producing detailed and compliant suitability reports for mortgage and protection recommendations.
What we need from you:
  • Similar experience in a similar role with a good understanding of the mortgage and protection process (2 years experience)
  • Minimum level 3 mortgage qualification (CeMAP or CF6)
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel and also the ability to quickly learn new software packages such as Iress Adviser Office
  • To be able to communicate confidently and effectively with clients and providers via telephone or writing
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise your own workload
  • High attention to detail to ensure a high-quality standard
  • Driven and focussed individual
  • To be an integral part of the team and to be able to support a larger team of IFAs
