Job Description

We are currently working with an American owned engineering company based in Leicester who specialise in servicing mechanical equipment across a wide variety of sites and locations.If you are an engineer that likes to be out and about, then this opportunity would certainly give you fulfilment as they work across all industries and sectors and the work isnt too strenuous compared to most other mechanical engineering roles.Salary is up to £32,000 per annum (subject to skills and experience) overtime available giving you an opportunity to earn OTE of £42,000 with an annual company bonus scheme of £1,800.Overtime Paid at an enhancementRole Outlined:As a service engineer you will be assigned to customer projects and service a wide variety of compressed air equipment. The working hours are between 08.00 - 5.00pm and typically engineers only attend one job per day with very in-frequent overnight stays.The work is hands on and involves mechanical duties on compressed air systems such as industrial dryers, refrigeration units and much more.The company have not had an engineer leave for more than 7 years, so this is a highly reputable company that rewards and looks after engineersDaily Requirements:

  • Performing mechanical service duties across a wide variety of UK manufacturing and engineering sites - company industries and sectors vary
  • Stripping mechanical parts and changing components where necessary - components can include filters, pneumatic butterfly valves, seals and much more
  • Condensation management on a wide variety of equipment
  • Performing service work on temperature transmitters
  • Working closely alongside customers answering any technical queries and advising where necessary
Person Specification:
  • Individual must have a full UK license - ideally clean with no points
  • Although there are very few overnight stays, on occasions these do occur and you must be willing to work away where and when necessary
  • You must have your own basic tool set - bespoke tools will be paid for and provided when necessary
  • Basic electrical knowledge could be advantageous however the role is primarily mechanical duties
