Job Description

Role: Mechanical Design EngineerLocation: LeicesterSector: ManufacturingSalary: £35,000 - £43,000Owen Daniels Consultancyhas engaged with a key client and an established Design &Manufacturing company providing a wide range of services to the Aerospace and Automotive industries, and high-profile clients. Due to team & project growth an opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical DesignEngineerto join on a permanent basis.Mechanical Design Engineer Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating layout designs for quoting purposes.
  • Generating the technical design and specifications for the broach tool according to customer inquiries.
  • Developing 2D and 3D CAD production drawings with Autodesk Inventor.
  • Assisting the Technical Department in analysing root causes of technical issues and offering design assistance.
  • Providing technical support to the production department for inquiries
Key Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minium Qualification required is a HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience in a previous Engineering Design role using 2D and 3D CAD Software (Autodesk Inventor preferred).
  • Experience within a Precision Engineering setting is preferrable.
