Job Description

Job Role: Management AccountantSalary:32-35kLocation: Leicester� Elevate Your Career as a Management Accountant! �Are you a finance professional with a passion for precision and a knack for numbers We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant to join our dynamic team and make a significant impact on our financial success.Key Responsibilities for the Management Accountant

  • As part of a team support the production of monthly and year-end accounts (group)
  • Support the monthly management accounts process as a management accountant
  • Support the year-end reporting and audit process (group & statutory)
  • Support the Financial Controller in managing the legal entity financial reporting and taxation obligations for the group, including consolidation
  • Completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Working with internal, external tax auditors, consultants and other service providers
  • Assisting the Commercial Finance Manager with ad hoc analysis and regular reports
  • Play a role in developing a strong finance and accounting team
  • Drive improvements and efficiencies and raise financial awareness across the business as a management accountant
  • Project work to build business systems and improve/streamline systems, processes and controls
  • Involvement in some set up activities on Sage X3 (for segregation of duties across teams)
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to identify & solve ambiguous problems & design models as a management accountant
  • High attention to detail & ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
  • Experience in a group structure with multiple entities
  • Experience in Sage preferable
  • Excellent spreadsheeting and data analysis skills
  • ACA /ACCA/CIMA part qualified or relevant Finance degree, with a clear willingness to complete the qualification
  • Double entry booking keeping experience essential
  • Experience with standard costing preferred
