Job Description

The RoleWere looking for a creative thinker with a passion for videography and motion graphics to join our growing team. Working alongside the Group Motion Graphic Designer, youll undertake a process of ongoing learning, adapting and evolving alongside trendsof today, tomorrow and beyond. The pace is fast, so youll need to be able to spin multiple plates, manage time effectively and justify your own decisions. Its perfect if youre looking to start a career in videography and motion graphics.The ResponsibilitiesHaving a proven track record of creating design solutions that deliver high impact across digital, video and offline assets is a must. And your focus should always be on producing innovative concepts and designs for a variety of marketing initiatives, includingbut not limited to: corporate presentations, emails, video content, corporate event assets and merchandising and digital assets. The role will hold responsibility for elevating the Sytner Group and CarShop brands from end to end; seeing you:

  • Assisting with planning of shoots to capture, log and edit video content
  • Assisting on video shoots with filming, lighting or sound etc
  • Working with the wider creative team to storyboard and bring video ideas to life
  • Contributing with ideas during planning sessions
  • Collaborating with 3rd party suppliers on larger projects
  • Working independently on projects
  • Keeping up to date on the latest industry trends
  • Producing internal colleague videos alongside videos that will be presented externally
The Requirements
  • A solid understanding and experience of motion graphic editing industry-standard software, including Final Cut, Premier Pro and After Effects, with a strong portfolio
  • A higher education qualification in videography or motion graphics
  • Experience working in a production company or video agency
  • An understanding of InDesign, Illustrator and PhotoShop
  • Proven track record of producing great films with a story, showcased in an online portfolio
  • Experience shooting video with professional cameras and DSLRs
  • Excellent understanding of video editing principles and a keen eye for detail
  • Experience with social video and the management and optimisation of YouTube and Facebook fan pages
  • Track record of creating content that generates traffic and increases video views
  • Experience repurposing video into different social media formats
  • Knowledge and understanding of video encoding principles and techniques
  • Possess a thorough understanding of interactive communications and delivery systems, processes, and user interface design, as well as industry best practices
  • Ability to edit within a short time frame
  • Maintenance of equipment
  • Experience in using various mics for recording great audio on video
  • A can-do attitude
  • A passion for cars
The Desirables
  • Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography & limitations of the web is required
  • Understand Flash and have the ability to storyboard or translate ideas to designers and develop innovative motion graphics solutions
  • Knowledge of HTML, DHTML CSS, Actionscript and Javascript
  • Experience sourcing video and negotiating rights to clips
