THE OPPORTUNITY:Macildowie are currently recruiting for an IT Support Assistant working for a business based in Hamilton. Reporting to the IT Manager, you will play a pivotal role in assisting the day-to-day IT operations of the business whilst also delivering improvementsto the companys systems, procedures and operations.This is a full time role Monday to Friday. THE ROLE & YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage First Line Support with respect to hardware and software issues including;Setup of New PCsSet up of printersSetting up users on Active directory & the ERP systemSetting up and maintaining Exchange, distribution groups & out of office access to mail boxes etcSetting up and maintaining Mitel Phone SystemMaintaining the companies Wi-Fi networkBeing first point of contact and logging calls with third party support companiesTo ensure that the support provided is appropriate, timely and meets the requirements of the companySupporting with Day to Day Sage X3 issues such as web order loading Assist in the provision of management information from Sage SQL and Crystal reportsDocumenting procedures & processesSupport the daily operation of the companies IT systems. Including but not limited to;ERP system (Sage X3)Carrier InterfacesADS CaptureSlim StockTo ensure that these systems are operational and are meeting the requirements of the operational departmentsManage the IT departments Ticketing system, SpiceworksAssist in the investigation and completion of the operational departmental requests in relation to;Departmental operational improvementsDepartmental reporting requirementsEXPERIENCE SOUGHT IN THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE: Has excellent analytical, numerical and problem-solving skillsAble to show an understanding of;SQLCrystal ReportsERP SystemsPossesses a good level of Microsoft Office Products such as Excel, Word, Outlook & PowerPointAn Understanding of ERP systems A knowledge of Sage X3 would be an advantageHas an understanding of IT advancements and threats and how this could impact the companyContinues to improve knowledge of the companies IT systems through courses available from Sage and other sources as appropriateBasic accounting knowledge would be an advantagePlease put your home postcode on your CV when applying.
