OverviewDue to growth, we have a number of exciting Claims Handler roles available - no experience necessary! We will provide you with all the training, tools and support that you need to begin your career within Insurance and Claims. The ideal claims handler willhave excellent customer service skills, empathy, and the ability to identify the best possible solutions to support our customers. They will be engaged in their learning and development; they will continuously look to improve their knowledge and skills inour everchanging and growing fast paced environment.Our Claims department is made up of various claims handling teams who play a crucial role in supporting our customers. Where you start your journey with us will depend on your transferrable skills, knowledge, and experience.Each of our claims handling roles offer you opportunities to progress. As your skills and experience grow with us so will your career. Hastings Direct are truly dedicated to our colleagues ongoing development.You should be within a commutable distance of one of our offices (Bexhill or Leicester). We offer Hybrid working which usually requires 1 day per week in the office, with an option to do more based on your preferences.What will you be doing
  • Keeping our customers claim journey as short as possible by proactively chasing updates via suppliers, settling claims at the earliest opportunity
  • Validating claims and policies
  • Ensuring system information is up to date and accurate
  • Demonstrating effective planning and organisational skills, managing your own case load and customer portfolio.
  • Working towards department and business targets
  • Referring any suspected fraud cases to our Specialist Unit
  • Investigating claims
  • Payment processing
