Hydrant Maintenance TechnicianBased at one of the Fire Stations within Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland37 hours per week (early morning start)Salary Grade - C/D - Scale £19,171 - £22,911This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and driven individual to join our small but busy Fire Hydrant Maintenance Team, to deliver an inspection programme and maintain critical firefighting equipment for operational fire crews.The Hydrant Maintenance Technician job role will involve planning daily work schedules, driving a service vehicle between fire hydrant locations, working outdoors, testing and maintaining fire hydrants on public/private water mains within the public highway throughout Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. This individual will need to be able to assess and demonstrate Health and Safety throughout with a good knowledge of risk assessments and manual handling.Excellent written and a range of computer skills are essential along with the ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people at all levels.
