Job Description

HV Design EngineerJob Ref: J109315CGlasgow, Stafford, Leicester, Coventry, Sutton£47,000 to £74,000 + Car + BenefitsThe transmission network operators have secured c.£8bn as part of the T2 package of RIIO. This is an exciting time and this role is crucial. We are working with in the Transmission and Distribution sector across the UK.The role is flexible and UK wide. We have sites in Glasgow, Stafford, Leicester, Covenrtry or Sutton and North East LincolshireYoull be client focused - being able to interface with clients and understand their needs.You will- Provide Leadership on the FEED and detail design workstream- Review the HV plant aspects of different projects including HV layouts, earthing design and reports, mechanical interlocking, HV busbar calculations and technical specification for the HV plant equipment.- Attending site visits, FAT and SAT as required.- You will work on HV or Battery Storage at 33kV, 132kV, 275kV, or 400kV.Youll need to have:A level of experience or a Chartered Engineer through the IET.Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.Track record of leading teams in the delivery of Front-End Engineering or designDetailed design of EHV (33kV or 132kV upwards) substation projects.TP141 or equivalent authorised or ability to do so.Full UK Driving LicenceTo apply speak to Cindy AndersonYou could be a Primary Design Engineer, a Secondary Design Engineer, a Protection & Control Engineer, a Project Engineer, an M&E Engineer.Required skills
