Job Description

So what’s the role all aboutWorking within our thriving HR department, you will have responsibility for generalist support and advice across the business, ensuring compliance with current employment law and best practice.This role can offer hybrid working, meaning you will be required to be in the office for around 2/3 days a week with the rest being from home, however we may need you to be in the office more within your probation, whilst you get up to speed.We’re happy to consider flexible working options for all our roles, and we’ll always do our best to keep your work and life in balance.Some of the key tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Provide initial point of contact HR generalist support across the organisation
  • Provide an efficient, effective and comprehensive service to managers in all aspects of people management in a manner that is consistent with PA’s Values and in accordance with employment law
  • Provide effective management of cases including disciplinaries, grievances, attendance and capability. Ensure associated paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Maintain HR documentation and trackers ensuring information is kept up to date and accurate for the purposes of HR KPI’s and performance monitoring
  • Attend formal stage sick absence meetings with Line Managers and offer coaching and advice
  • Act as HR Advisor in informal and formal meetings
  • Minute take, as and when required
  • Support organisational restructures in line with business needs.
  • Ensure the effective completion of day to day operations
  • Ensure all colleagues/managers are aware of relevant policies and procedures to be followed
  • Keep up to date with employment law
To be successful in this role, we’d be looking for the following…
  • CIPD qualified or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience of working as a HR professional at an Officer level in a people focussed organisation
  • Experience of policy development and implementation
  • Evidence of developing positive working partnerships with managers
  • Up to date knowledge of employment law and best practice
  • Good knowledge and interpretation of employment legislation
  • Ability to gather and analyse data and utilise information to make informed decisions
