Job Description

HGV ShunterPART TIME£13.19 p/hBraunstoneShifts - Saturday and Sunday (Days)Friday and Saturday (Nights)The companyPertemps are working in partnership with a pioneering end-to-end logistics business providing industry-leading services to many of the UK and Europes best-known brands.The role

  • Ensuring the safe movement of large vehicles and trailers around a construction site
  • Adhering to strict health and safety guidelines
  • Completing safety assessments
  • Inspecting vehicles and trailers
  • Coupling and uncoupling trailers
  • Safely parking trailers
  • Manoeuvring laden and un-laden trailers
  • Ensure handover procedures are correctly implemented when passing goods on to other workers.
The person
  • Successful applicants will have previous driving experience.
  • Ideally you will hold a HGV License or previous shunting experience, however this is not essential as in house training can be provided.
  • Knowledge and previous experience in a despatch area preferred, but in-house training and assessment will be provided.
  • Be fit for physical work, such as moving straps and drawing trailer curtains.
  • Be able to work in a fast paces Depot, whilst ensuring the safe transportation of trailers around site.
