Job Description

Do you have experience with Oracle finance system Are you a well-developed Systems Accountant who has proven experience with implementing new systems Do you have a keen eye for detail and a desire to improve processesIf so, keep reading!Robertson Bell are happy to announce their collaboration with a progressive public sector organisation who are growing year on year as they go to market for a Systems Accountant on a permanent, full-time basis. This role would suit an individual who hasstrong systems accounting skills and is eager to tackle project accounting and has the desire to own and solve the finance systems problems.The key duties of this Systems Accountant role are as follows:

  • Be the face of the implementation and the relationship between departments of the new Oracle r12 finance system. Helping spec out the new system, develop and improve system processes and ensure that accurate and complete data is generated.
  • Act as the main point of contact for finance systems and to provide business partnering support to ensure the company can deliver the projects in a financially sustainable manner. Providing daily maintenance to Oracle r12.
  • Setting up new codes, new users and helping set limitations and the configurations behind it.
  • Support with year-end and project audits. Opening and closing ledgers at month end and rolling forward journals.

The role will be basedin Leicester. This is the perfect role for an aspiring Systems Accountant looking to develop in their career and who is keen on being a part of a dynamic team, future growth within the role and organisation is available for a hard working and consistent performer.The successful candidate will have:
  • An AAT qualification, or be ACCA/CIMA/ACA part qualified, or be qualified by experience.
  • Have previous Oracle system experience. Be confident in developing and maintaining new systems and processes to drive improvements.
  • Advanced Excel skills and have excellent knowledge of CRM/accounting software systems.
  • Be highly organised and have the ability to pay strong attention to detail.
  • Avid problem-solving skills.
