Job Description

My client is a leading packaging manufacturer of magnetic separation, metal detection, fluid recycling and vibratory equipment. They are a multinational company with headquarters in the USA and Wales and they are currently seeking an Electronics Field Service& Commissioning Engineer.Field Service Engineer (Electrical Bias)Remote based Working (Location: North or Midlands UK)Salary £36000 - £43,000 DOEBenefits

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be completing service/commissioning visits, whilst overseeing the administration of all service support documentation. The successful candidate will spend an average of 3 days per week on site visits and will also berequired to work weekend from time to time (This is reasonable)The role can be based anywhere in the North/Midlands of the UK. The successful candidate will be required to attend their site for onboarding and training purposes from time to time, but ultimately you are remote working.Responsibilities:
  • Carry out service/commissioning UK wide and visits abroad incorporated. These visits could involve long journeys either by car or Car allowance.
  • Calibration of equipment
  • Carry out repairs of equipment returned by customers to the factory.
  • Sale of spare parts of equipment, preparing quotations and orders
  • Assist customers and internal personnel with technical questions.
  • Preparation of documentation for international and domestic travel
  • Preparation of commissioning, servicing and calibration visit documentation.
  • Training of customers and agents – both at facilities and at customer sites
  • Involved in finding solutions on site including equipment and installation problems.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an electrically biased role
  • Electronic and electrical experience
  • Must be able to use a multimeter, oscilloscope and be able to troubleshoot.
  • Mechanical experience, such as reading drawings & assembly.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics.
  • A natural problem solver, with good customer service skills
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Naturally focused - able to retain a clear view of the overall objective when working under pressure.
  • Worldwide travel to customers sites is an integral part of the role, so you must be comfortable with this.
