Sectors: Energy, Oil & Gas, Automotive, Robotics, Artificial IntelligenceJob Title: Embedded Software Engineer (Contractor)Location: Leicester, (Leicestershire/East Midlands)Contract Hourly Pay: £40-60 per hourIR35 Determination: INSIDEDuration: 6 months, with the option to extend if required.Flexible hybrid working is availableCompany Overview & Job Title:A fantastic global successful engineering organization based inLeicester, (Leicestershire/East Midlands)specializing in Smart Technology that is utilised in multiple industries that includeEnergy, Oil & Gas, Automotiveandmany more is now actively seeking to recruit a brand new immediate startingContract Embedded Software Engineerto start on an exciting6 month exciting contractproject, with the option to extend if required.Contract rate, IR35 Determination & Contract Duration:The hourly rate on offer for the successfulContract Embedded Software Engineer is £40-60 per hour,depending on skillset & experience, and this will be workingINSIDE IR35.The contract duration for the successfulContractEmbedded Software Engineer is 6 months, with the option to extend if required.Flexible hybrid working arrangement:Working 3 days in the office and 2 from home is available. If you prefer working more days in the office, that’s fine.Contract Embedded SoftwareEngineer Key Skills:

  • 3-5+years minimum industry experience
  • Experienced embedded S/W developer
  • Experienced in C++ development for applications running on Linux & FreeRTOS
  • Experience of development for STM32 & Xilinx Zynq
  • Knowledge and experience of developing using Vitis development environment
  • Embedded Software Tools (IDE) – Eclipse, QT, MPLAB X, Visual Studio, ARM Keil
  • Experience of writing bootloaders that can also be used to install the application
  • Experience of UART, SPI, I2C drivers and network stacks
  • Working in an agile environment
Bonus nice to have skills:
  • Experience and familiarity of C#
  • Yocto
  • Embedded Linux
  • Understanding of object-orientated design patterns.
  • Experience working with sensors (radar, vision, lidar, etc.)
  • NVIDIAJetson processors
  • Issue tracking and version controls -JIRA, GIT, SVN, or similar
