Job Description

Electrical Engineer, £38000 - £45000 per annum, 33 days leave, Bupa healthcare, Gym membership, pensionPosition: Electrical EngineerLocation: LeicesterSalary: £38000 - £45000 per annumBenefits: 33 days leave, Bupa health care, Gym membership, pensionWorking hour: 40 hours - Monday to Friday 7-4.30pmOur clients are a Mechanical, Electrical and Environmental design consultancy company offering designs across all sectors in the construction industry.You will be responsible for acting as an Electrical Engineer on a selection of projects, including responsibility for the Electrical Design, reporting up workloads and priorities, internal project coordination, administration and some client liaison.The Role of the Electrical Engineer will be:

  • To operate on multiple projects and meet all assigned deadlines agreed with the project lead
  • Responsible for full detailed electrical design and to coordinate design with mechanical design members
  • Responsible for calculation works to prove design for LV Distribution, Lighting, small power, fire and security alarms.
  • To assist sustainability engineers with modelling input data and criteria
  • To ensure all QA procedures and guidelines are followed.
  • To actively participate to the design verification process within the team, including self checking their own work prior to issuing for QO to the Senior and QA checking Graduate engineers work.
  • To ensure clients are satisfied with the levels of performance and quality of service provided.
  • Clients concerns and problems are acted upon and resolved in a prompt, efficient and courteous manner.
The requirements of a Electrical Engineer is:
  • To have a working understanding of current building regulations, CIBSE documentation, IEE Wiring Regulations, British standards, BSRIA documentation and all other general design guides associated with the building services industry.
  • To be IT literate, with a working knowledge of office, AutoCAD, Revit and Hevacomp.
  • To be working towards Member of CIBSE/IET accreditation - advantageous
