Job Description

Domestic Abuse Interventions WorkerSalary: £24,646 - £26,000Location: LeicesterHours & Shift Pattern: 37 Hours - Monday/Wednesday/Friday (9am-5pm), Tuesday/Thursday (2pm-9pm), Saturday (10am-4pm with the following Monday off), 4 Saturdays in 6 weeksThis post however is restricted to males due to the nature of the role and requiring a gender balanced facilitation team. If this sounds like a role for you, I wouldlove to hear from YOU today!I am in partnership and collaborating with a fantastic national client who are a registered care and support charity, who specialise in delivering homes, services, and innovation for the most disadvantaged communities in the country and provide support to vulnerableadults. This will include; savings on eye tests, 25 days annual leave in additionto bank holidays with that number increasing after 3 years` continuous service, and additional leave for your birthday!Overview of the RoleWithin your role, you will support perpetrators of domestic abuse, and you will support them in going through a development pathway programme in order to enforce positive behaviour changes. You will work in group settings, and on 1-2-1 support sessions, inorder to refer perpetrators to specific programmes.Key ResponsibilitiesTo conduct violence prevention work in a way that shows an understanding of domestic violence and its effects on partners, ex-partners and childrenTo lead with co - worker a structured programme relating to domestic violence and abuse, parenting, and domestic abuse awarenessTo conduct appointment-based assessments with potential clients to assess their suitability for the violence prevention programme based on the Jenkins Centres aims and criteria, submitting reports to social services and other agencies as necessaryRequired Skills, Experience, & KnowledgeThis post however is restricted to males due to the nature of the role and requiring a gender balanced facilitation team.
