Job Description

Digital Press Field Service EngineerLocation: Leicester & Southampton - must live within a 20 mile radiusSalary: Up to £37k, plus OT and BenefitsOverview - Digital Press Field Service EngineerYou will be expected to install, configure, maintain, and repair printing press systems as well as demonstrate a proactive approach and contribute to maintenance related activities. Working on complex systems requiring quick learning and understanding; aswell as the ability to rapidly identify the nature of complex issues and to provide optimal solutions.Tools, equipment, company phone and car are all suppliedResponsibilities - Digital Press Field Service Engineer

  • Follow up on remote diagnosis, resolving the problem as quickly as possible to enable the customer to remain operational at all times
  • To install, configure, maintain, and repair printing press systems
  • Working on complex systems you will require quick learning and understanding with the ability to rapidly identify the nature of complex issues and to provide suitable solutions
  • Be responsible for ensuring safe working practices under the Health & Safety Acts.
Knowledge, skills and experience - Digital Press Field Service Engineer
  • A professional with a technical background covering both mechanics and electronics
  • Previous field experience with support of high end or complex electro-mechanical equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills down to electronics component level
  • Knowledge of electronic/electrical components including 3 phase mains power.
  • Ability to read circuit diagrams
  • Valid driving licence
  • 3 GCSEs or equivalent, to include Maths and English desirable .Ideal academic level preferred: City & Guilds, BTEC, ONC, HNC / HND in Engineering
