Job Description

Customer Service Representative - RetentionsAre you looking for a new opportunity to develop a career in the world of Insurance We have an opening for a Customer Service Advisor to join our Retentions department!Hours: Monday to Friday - 37.5 hours a week, between the hours of 08:00 - 19:00Location: Here at Hastings Direct we work on a hybrid working model. We work from our vibrant, modern Leicester City Centre office 1-2 days a week and the rest of the week from the comfort of your own home.Up to 13 weeks training will be provided in the office (dependant on your learning speed)Salary: £22,850Start Date: 14/08/2023What will your day to day look like As a customer service advisor, you will be working within our inbound call centre, addressing a diverse range of customer queries submitted via telephone, email, live chat, or instant messages. The calls you receive will be varied; they could include:

  • Making changes to existing policies
  • Giving quotes and taking payments
  • Retaining customers who are looking to cancel with us.
  • Delivering outstanding customer service to increase our customer loyalty.
  • Offering customers our great range of products and services.
What are we looking for in the ideal candidate An insurance background is not necessary, we see many skills as transferrable, if you have a background in retail, hospitality, sales or just an interest and passion for customer service wed love to speak to you.To be a successful Customer Service Advisor in our Retentions department at Hastings Direct you must have the following key attributes:
  • Pride and experience in delivering top quality customer service experience.
  • Excellent influencing and negotiating skills.
  • Ability to overcome customer objections and drive a positive resolution.
  • Computer skills: youll take inbound calls whilst navigating our in-house software
