Great Opportunity within aleadingdistribution facility based in Leicester for a Counterbalance FLT driverTheposition is a straight permanent position with the companyHours of work are: Monday - Friday -15.00 - 23.30 or 14.00 - 22.30Working withinthe warehouse operations team, you willbe a key part of core operation. Utilising your FLT driving skills to help deliver an efficient and reliable serviceto allcustomers.In order to be considered for this position you must hold a Forklift Truck Counterbalance Licence and have a minimum of two years experience as a Forklift Truck Driver, you will need to consider yourself as organised, thorough and can work well under pressurein a fast-paced environment.In keeping with accepted principles of good working practice, you may be required to undertake additional or alternative duties, as directed by your line manager.Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesTransshipment of freight to its destination, whether to place into a bay location or onto a waiting vehicle or standing trailerPerform routine pre-inspections to ensure equipment is suitable for useCompile reports for damaged products, poorly presented vehicles, site damage, equipment damage, etcRemove floor hazards from working areas immediately, e.g. pallet bases, blocks of wood, banding materials, polythene wrap, spills and other discarded itemsOperate FLT equipment to perform work requirementsReport all freight damages and potential damages to your line managerAlways provide the highest-quality level of service to internal and external stakeholdersBe responsible for the health and safety of yourself and others who may be affected by your acts or omissions, including the use of corrective PPE equipmentProvide information and communicate with customer vehicle drivers, if and when the need arisesUndertake training to keep up-to-date and progress as apermanent core member of staffAlways provide a positive and encouraging atmosphere to ensure all staff work to the best of their ability.Qualifications and Experience NeededHold a valid FLT B1 Counter Balance RTITB LicenceAt least 18 months experienceAttention to detail and Health and Safety practicesPrevious experience in a logistics / pallet distribution environment would be an advantagePlease call Laura Naylor for more information on
