Job Description

Do you have experience teaching Computing in Further Education (FE) or are looking to move into teaching FE Computing ProgramsReed Further Education are working with a college based in Leicester who are searching for a Computing Lecturer for the next academic year.There are two positions the college are looking to fill. The first position will last until December 2023 with a potential to be extended past that or for the candidate to apply for a permanent position. The second position is a temporary position lastingfor the whole academic year.Job Title: Computing LecturerDuration: TemporarySalary: £130 - £175 day rate including holiday payLocation: LeicesterPosition: Full-time hoursThe primary duties, tasks and responsibilities of this job role are to;

  • Deliver learning activities on a range of courses and levels including A-level Computer Science and BTEC Information Technology up to level 3.
  • Responsible for the management and tracking of the student learning.
  • Develop materials for lecturer, assignments, activities and assessments.
  • Carry out the required assessments.
  • Classroom management and student behaviour management.
  • Supervision of students projects.
What you will need
  • Undergraduate degree level in IT/Computer Science/relevant program.
  • Experience delivering up to level 3.
  • Teaching qualification, or the ability and willingness to obtain one.
  • Programming in Python or one of the C family of languages.
  • Experience with computer hardware technologies.
